IMU renovations progress as Student Health prepares for move

The $81.4 million Iowa Memorial Union renovation remains on schedule and on budget after one year of construction. As the project progresses toward completion in fall 2027, UI Student Health is preparing to relocate from Westlawn to the third floor of the IMU.

Legacy built at Wendell Johnson Speech and Hearing Center continues

For more than 50 years, the Wendell Johnson Speech and Hearing Center served as a hub for pioneering communication sciences and disorders research at the University of Iowa. That legacy will continue in the Health Sciences Academic Building, where the UI Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic and Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders have relocated.

The new feature also allows for future development and addition of new services if needed.
