A renovation project is planned for Duane Banks Field to improve the game-day experience for all Hawkeye baseball fans. Elements of the project include increased stadium capacity and an enhanced fan experience with premium seating opportunities, additional concessions, and expanded restrooms.

The UI has planned a remodel and expansion project for one of the most interesting buildings on campus, the Iowa Advanced Technology Laboratories, which will then become the permanent home of the rapidly growing Department of Computer Science. Research laboratories currently located in the building will remain.

For the first time in more than a decade, there are plans for a new road on campus. The project will connect Newton Road to the fountain entrance of the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, which will make way for construction of the hospital's new inpatient tower.

The University of Iowa celebrated a groundbreaking for a new six-floor building that will be home to three of the school's top programs: communication sciences and disorders, health and human physiology and physical therapy and rehab services.
