Reason and details for closure/impact
This closure is to allow storm sewer improvements at the Main Library. A partial road closure on Library Plaza is needed to install a new manhole at the curbline and connect to existing storm sewer lines. A portion of sidewalk west of the Main Library south entrance stairs will be closed to connect the Main Library to the new manhole.
Starting August 13, ENGIE contractors will be a new sanitary sewer system in the east side of the Main Library courtyard. During this time occupants can expect intermittent noise and vibration in and around this area due to this construction.

Use crosswalks to the south side Library Plaza at the construction area. Continue in the direction you wish to travel until you reach the next marked crossing. Vehicular traffic on Library Plaza will not be impacted.
