Reason and details for closure/impact
ENGIE crews will be working in the area between Halsey Hall and the Iowa Memorial Union Parking Ramp to locate and repair a leak in the steam condensate return system. The work will require excavation and the use of construction equipment.
While work is underway, you may experience intermittent noise and vibrations, and there will be trucks and construction equipment moving in and out of the work area.

Pedestrians can cross to the sidewalk on the west side of Madison Street using intersections Jefferson and Market streets.
Alternate route
Additionally, pedestrians can avoid the area by using the T. Anne Cleary Walkway and sidewalks along Jefferson Street and Market Street.
