Tree Tour Info
Learn more about our campus landscape on the University of Iowa Campus by attending a tree tour or planting event! Tree tours take place during the spring, summer, and fall seasons and cover a variety of locations across campus from the Pentacrest, Medical Campus, our Literary Grove, and beyond.
Garlic Mustard Pull and Trash Pick-up
Join us on April 20 for a garlic mustard pull and trash pick-up in the UI Arboretum. This event will take place from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Participants can meet at the east end of Hancher footbridge.
Pollinator Garden Planting
Join us on April 22 to plant the third phase of the Seaman’s Center Pollinator Garden. Planting will take place from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Participant’s should meet in the Seaman’s Center dock area on the west side of the building off of Madison Street.
Miyawaki Forest Tree Planting 2.0
Join us for the Miyawaki Forest Tree Planting 2.0 as we kick off our project on Arbor Day, Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 near the College of Public Health. This exciting initiative aims to plant 2,000 native tree saplings and shrubs using the Miyawaki Method, a technique for densely planting native trees to create bio-diverse and self-sustaining forests.
