This will involve architecturally reorganizing Trowbridge Hall to accommodate the joining of two University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Departments: 1. Geographical and Sustainability Sciences (GSS), and 2. Earth and Environmental Sciences (EES). An official announcement of this union was released in September of 2024. The name of the new institution is the School of Earth, Environment, and Sustainability.
