November 13: Construction on this project has been completed and pedestrian tunnel is open.
This is a City of Iowa City project.
The closure is necessary to make repairs to the pedestrian tunnel. The City's contractor, Iowa Bridge and Culvert, anticipates the closure to last 4 weeks. Pedestrian traffic across Iowa Ave will be routed to the crosswalk at the English-Philosophy Building.
