Built adjacent to Carver-Hawkeye Arena, the 38,500-foot Goschke Family Wrestling Training Center facility began with a vision of creating the best training facility in college wrestling.  The facility, completed in 2024, houses several state-of-the-art amenities for Iowa’s men's and women’s wrestling teams, including multiple locker rooms, a public trophy room, a 13,000-square-foot wrestling room, training and recovery rooms, a weight room, office spaces, and more.

Wanting the facility to have a functional extension into Carver-Hawkeye Arena, the new training center was designed to connect to Carver via tunnel, which leads athletes directly from the training facility to the Carver-Hawkeye competition floor.

The facility celebrated its official ribbon-cutting ceremony in the spring of 2024, recognizing the hard work of all teams involved, as well as the generosity of the Goschke family and 200+ donors who helped bring the dreams and vision of a world-class training center to life.
