Reason and details for closure/impact
Sections of Hawkins Drive and Hospital Loop Drive will be closed for the water tower demolition. The east two lanes of Hawkins Drive will be closed for semi-trailer loading. Traffic along Hawkins Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction during these hours with full lanes restored Monday morning.
The east-west section of Hospital Loop Drive will be closed for safety reasons. Hospital Loop Drive will be directed to continue north on Hospital Drive to Newton Road.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Hawkins Drive starting 6 p.m. Friday night to 3 a.m. Monday morning. Hospital Loop Drive will be closed from the north end of the UIHC Main Entrance canopy and direct all traffic to leave to the north along Hospital Drive to Newton Road.
Alternate route
Traffic can take Evashevski Drive to Hawkeye Ramp Drive to avoid the single lane traffic.
