The City of Iowa City will be closing multiple streets beginning Friday, June 5, through Sunday, June 7, 2026, for the Iowa Arts Festival.

The following roads will be closed for the festival at 6 a.m. on Friday, June 5, and will reopen late night Sunday, June 7:

  • Clinton Street from Jefferson Street to Washington Street
  • Washington Street from Clinton Street to Linn Street
  • Iowa Avenue from Clinton Street to Linn Street
  • Dubuque Street, from Jefferson Street to Washington Street

Parking meters on all impacted streets will be marked with "No Parking" signs before the event. In addition to reduced street parking, some ramp and lot parking will be reserved for festival vendors, artists, performers, and service vehicles. Look for posted signs indicating restricted parking.

Parking for artists with oversized vehicles includes:

  • 100 Block of Jefferson (from Clinton to Dubuque Street)
  • 400 Block of Iowa (from Gilbert to Van Buren Street)
  • 400 and 500 Blocks of College (from Gilbert to Johnson Street)
