Site restoration in the Lower Finkbine area near the Hawkeye Softball Complex has begun following a MidAmerican Energy project installing new electrical transmission lines through their easement in the area. Site restoration is expected to last three to four weeks, weather permitting. Momentary closures of the Mormon Trek / Coralville Strip Nature Trail between First Avenue and Finkbine Commuter Drive may be necessary for heavy equipment to pass the area. If closures are necessary, MidAmerican will be using flaggers to direct pedestrians.
