Reason and details for closure/impact
Due to window replacement work, the sidewalk leading to the Madison Street entrance of the Iowa Memorial Union on the east side of the building will be temporarily closed for approximately two (2) weeks, weather permitting.
Pedestrian Detour
- Please use the alternate pedestrian route:
- Travel along the east sidewalk of Madison Street
- Cross at or near Market Street
- Follow posted signage to access the Iowa Memorial Union on the north side of the building
For your safety, please avoid the work area and follow all detour signs. Please note that the Iowa Memorial Union is affected by additional closures at the south entrance due to the renovations. For additional details, view this alert.
