This is a City of Iowa City project. There will be traffic impacts to Washington Street between Madison and Capitol Street starting Tuesday, Sept. 8 and ending at the end of business on Wednesday, Sept. 9 for a topsoil replacement project. Westbound traffic will be detoured to Capitol, Burlington, and Madison Streets. Eastbound traffic will continue on Washington up the hill both days. The sidewalk on the south side of Madison Street will be closed during project work. The entrances on the north side of the Seamans Center will be closed during project work.
Detours have been coordinated with Cambus, Iowa City Transit, and Coralville Transit.

The sidewalk on the south side of Washington Street will be closed, use sidewalk on the north side of Washington Street or around the Seamans Center. Follow posted detour signage in the area. All accessible entrances to Seamans Center remain open.
