Reason and details for closure/impact
The sidewalk west of the Van Allen courtyard between Biology Building East and Van Allen Hall will be closed to allow installation of a temporary steam system and replacement of the existing utility tunnel. This work will extend out into the parking lane of the road so pedestrians will need to cross Dubuque Street to the sidewalk on the west side of the street to avoid the closure.

Pedestrians can cross Dubuque Street at Iowa Avenue or Jefferson Street and use the sidewalk on the west side of Dubuque Street.
Alternate route
Pedestrians can also follow sidewalk east around Van Allen Hall along Iowa Avenue or Jefferson Street.
