Delgado's work evolves from the reality of the photo. Both his easel work and public art murals are based on the people and circumstances that he encounters, with both expressing an appreciation of the human figure.

For this mural in glass, Delgado visited the UI campus and took photos of students as they went to and fro between classes. The photos provided the grist for his creative design mill. The Photoshop design embracing the photos was then fed to the printer where Delgado added to the design by including some hands-on airbrushed and hand-pulled photo silkscreen images. The glass panels became essentially "canvas" and the photos of individuals were transformed from being representative reflections to new creatively enhanced images.
